History

In 2006, with a generous gift from the Malone Family Foundation, the Education Program for Gifted Youth Online High School at Stanford University was launched. We initially offered a rigorous program at the high school level that attracted gifted students from a wide range of ages. To better serve our younger students, we are deepening our curriculum to provide a stronger foundation for our advanced courses. The development of these new courses is being made possible by an additional gift from the Malone Family Foundation.

Highlights from our first three years of operation include:

  • Accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) in 2006
  • Approved as an online provider for the University of California and the AP College Board in 2008
  • EPGY OHS graduates attend competitive four-year colleges and universities around the world

In the Spring of 2010 we will complete our second WASC accreditation cycle with the anticipation of receiving accreditation for all grades 7-12.
